[TRAILER] Scorn – 13 minutes Of 4K Gameplay On The Xbox Series X

Gamespot, recently released a new exclusive sneak peek of the mysterious horror-esque game Scorn. Developed by, Ebb Software, Scorn is a first person shooter that is shrouded with secrecy and darkness in terms of the main story (if there even is one). Scorn, isn’t a game that just popped up out of nowhere. A few years back, Ebb Software, used the site Kickstarter, to try and get funding for the horror game and it seems like it worked in their favor. The description from STEAM says it best –

Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry.

It is designed around the idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.

Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.

The entire atmosphere itself looks creepy, grimy and stunning all rolled into one nightmare with obvious inspiration from artist, H.R Geiger – Alien and Prometheus vibes can definitely be felt in this trailer.

Scorn, is set to be released sometime in 2021 with no exact release date as of right now, but the big take away from the trailer is that it’ll be available on Xbox Game Pass. The game being on Game Pass will put Scorn into the hands of millions of gamers around the world, which is an A+ move on their part.

I personally hope we get to know more about this game as it get’s closer to it’s launch next year, but until then we’re left with this 13 minute gameplay video that leaves us with more questions than answers.
